TORONTO, ON, Canada – June 28, 2017 – During the 44th International Symposium on Computer Architecture (ISCA), SONIC PI, David Blaauw and fellow authors were awarded the 2017 ACM SIGARCH (Special Interest Group on Computer Architecture) and IEEE-CS TCCA (Technical Committee on Computer Architecture) ISCA (International Symposium on Computer Architecture) Influential Paper Award for their groundbreaking research in power-efficient computing.

Haitong received Best in Session in the Beyond von Neumann Architectures I session for his work entitled "Non-volatile In-Memory Logic and Stochastic Neuromorphic Computing Using 3D Vertical RRAM." Ning received Best in Session in 2D/TMD Materials/Devices session for her work entitled "GDOT: A Graphene-based Nanofunction for Dot-Product Computation." Congratulations!

Ana Claudia Arias
Ana Claudia Arias from University of California, Berkeley has won a 2017 FLEXI Award in the R&D Achievements category for the development of flexible medical sensors and printed flexible devices. Her breakthrough research has led to the creation of flexible receiving coils for magnetic resonance imaging devices and devices for impedance sensing for the detection of early pressure ulcers in vivo.
